COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION ACT 1986 (REPEALED) - SECT 9

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties to the arbitration agreement, where a person has a power of appointment in relation to an arbitrator or umpire, that power extends to the appointment of a new arbitrator or umpire in place of an arbitrator or umpire who dies or otherwise ceases to hold office.
