Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Imperial Acts known as The Life Assurance Act, 1774, The Fires Prevention (Metropolis) Act, 1774 and The Marine Insurance Act, 1788, in their application to a contract of insurance or proposed contract of insurance to or in relation to which this Act applies, are repealed in so far as they are part of the law of the Commonwealth or of an external Territory to which this Act extends.
(2) Section 8 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 extends
to those Imperial Acts as so repealed as though they were Acts of the
Parliament repealed by this Act.
