NAVIGATION ACT 2012 - SECT 220

  (1)   The master of a vessel contravenes this subsection if :

  (a)   a man datory ship routeing system applies to the vessel; and

  (b)   the master does not navigate in accordance with the system; and

  (c)   if the master of the vessel is required to keep a logbook for the vessel-- th e master does not enter details of that navigation in the vessel ' s logbook .

Fault - based offence

  (2 )   A person commits an offence if the person contravenes subsection   ( 1).

Penalty:   10 penalty units.

Civil penalty

  (3 )   A person is liable to a civil penalty if the person contravenes subsection   ( 1).

Civil penalty:   100 penalty units .
