CORPORATIONS ACT 1989 No. 109 of 1989 - SECT 758

758. Where:

   (a)  a person would, but for this section, be required to give a notice to
        a company in accordance with section 709; and

   (b)  the person was, immediately before the commencement of this Chapter, a
        substantial shareholder in the company for the purposes of a law
        corresponding to Part 6.7 and had complied with the requirements of
        that law in relation to the person's shareholding in that company; the
        person is not required to give a notice under section 709 to the
        company.
