COMMONWEALTH AUTHORITIES AND COMPANIES ACT 1997 No. 153 of 1997 - SECT 22

22 General obligations on officers

(1) An officer of a Commonwealth authority must at all times act honestly in
the exercise of his or her powers and the discharge of his or her duties as an
officer. Note: This is a civil penalty provision and Schedule 2 sets out the
civil and criminal consequences of contravening it.

(2) An officer of a Commonwealth authority must, in the exercise of his or her
powers and the discharge of his or her duties as an officer, exercise the
degree of care and diligence that a reasonable person in a like position in a
Commonwealth authority would exercise in the authority's circumstances. Note:

criminal consequences of contravening it.
