FISHING INDUSTRY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 1987 No. 174 of 1987 - SECT 20

20. (1) Subject to subsection (2), meetings of the Council shall be held at
such times and places as the Council from time to time determines.

(2) The Chairperson may at any time convene a meeting of the Council.

(3) The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Council at which the
Chairperson is present.

(4) If the Chairperson is not present at a meeting of the Council, the members
present shall appoint one of their number to preside at the meeting.

(5) At a meeting of the Council:

   (a)  a majority of the members in office constitute a quorum;

   (b)  a question shall be decided by a majority of the votes of the members
        present and voting; and

   (c)  the member presiding has a deliberative vote and, in the event of an
        equality of votes, also has a casting vote.

(6) The Council shall keep minutes of its proceedings.

(7) The Council may invite a person to attend a meeting for the purpose of
advising or informing it on any matter.
