Freedom of Information Amendment Act 1983 No. 81 of 1983 - SECT 9

9. Section 16 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) ''is not an agency but would be an
        agency but for section 7, or regulations made under that section'' and
        substituting ''is specified in Part I of Schedule 2'';

   (b)  by inserting in paragraph (3) (a) '', being an agency specified
in Part II of Schedule 2'' after ''agency''; and

   (c)  by omitting paragraph (3) (b) and substituting the following
        paragraph:

''(b) is more closely connected with the functions of the other agency in
relation to documents in respect of which the other agency is exempt from the
operation of this Act than with the functions of the agency to which the
request is made,''.
