INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS REFORM ACT 1993 No. 98 of 1993 - SECT 74

74. Before Division 1 of Part IX of the Principal Act the following Division
is inserted:

"Division 1A-Preliminary Objects of Part

"187A. As well as the objects set out in section 3, this Part has these
objects:

   (a)  to encourage the democratic control of organisations;

   (b)  to encourage members of organisations to participate in the
        organisations' affairs;

   (c)  to encourage the efficient management of organisations;

   (d)  to encourage and help organisations to develop in a way that promotes
        the economic prosperity and welfare of the people of Australia;

   (e)  to encourage and facilitate the amalgamation of organisations.".
