PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 80, 1980 - SECT 52

52. Section 146 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (4)
and substituting the following sub-section:



"(4) In the provisions of a licence that have effect by reason of this
section-

   (a)  except as otherwise provided in this sub-section, a reference to the
        Minister shall be read as a reference to the Designated Authority;

   (b)  the first reference to the Minister in sub-clause (1) of clause 2 of
        the licence shall be read as a reference to the Joint Authority in
        respect of the adjacent area in respect of Victoria;

   (c)  that sub-clause shall have effect as if there were substituted for the
        words 'as the Minister in his discretion determines' the words 'as are
        determined in accordance with the law for the time being in force';
        and

   (d)  the reference to the Minister in sub-clause (1) of clause 27 shall be
        read as a reference to the Joint Authority in respect of the
        adjacent area in respect of Victoria.".
