RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS (TRANSMITTER LICENCE TAX) ACT 1983 No. 137, 1983 - SECT 8

8. Notwithstanding anything in section 7, where a transmitter licence is
granted before the date fixed for the purposes of sub-section 2 (2) of the
Radiocommunications Act 1983 (in this section referred to as the "commencing
date"), the amount of the tax imposed on that grant is an amount ascertained
in accordance with the formula-

a is the amount that, but for this section, would be the amount of
that tax;
b is the number of days after the commencing date and before the
day specified in the licence as the day of expiration of the
licence; and
c is the number of days after the day on which the licence is
granted and before the day so specified.
