REFERENDUM (MACHINERY PROVISIONS) ACT 1984 No. 44, 1984 - SECT 94

94. The Divisional Returning Officer for each Division shall, immediately
after the completion of the scrutiny in that Division, prepare a written
statement certifying-

   (a)  the number of votes given in favour of the proposed law;

   (b)  the number of votes given not in favour of the proposed law; and

   (c)  the number of ballot-papers rejected as informal, and shall send the
        statement to the Australian Electoral Officer for the State or
        Territory in which that Division is situated.
