STATES GRANTS (PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ASSISTANCE) ACT 1996 No. 70, 1996 - SECT 59

Subject to section 66, the Minister may make a determination authorising the
making of payments to a State by way of financial assistance to the State for
recurrent expenditure for a program year in respect of the teaching of
community languages:

   (a)  at or in connection with government schools in the State; or

   (b)  by any other body (other than the relevant authority of a school or
        school system referred to in section 60) in the State. Note 1: Certain
        amounts paid to a State under section 77 are taken to be paid under
        this section.
