STATES GRANTS (PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ASSISTANCE) AMENDMENT ACT 1995 No. 29, 1995 - SECT 16

16. Section 60A of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by omitting paragraph (1)(b) and substituting the following paragraph:

"(b) the Minister is satisfied that the aims of the project in respect of each
such hostel include any of the following:

        (i)    to improve the standard of services provided to students in the
               hostel;

        (ii)   to improve the administration of the hostel;

        (iii)  to improve community liaison with persons managing or operating
               the hostel.";

   (b)  by omitting from subsection 60A(2) "the approved project" and
        substituting "a project or projects approved under this section";
(c) by inserting in paragraph (8)(a) "the approved authority of" after "pay
to";

   (d)  by omitting from paragraph (8)(b) "body" and substituting "authority".
