STATE GRANTS (TERTIARY EDUCATION ASSISTANCE) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 3) 1985 No. 160, 1985 - SECT 18

18. Section 44 of the Principal Act is amended -
(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) "1985" and substituting "in a year to
which this Act applies";
(b) by omitting from sub-section (2) "the year 1985" and substituting "a year
to which this Act applies";
(c) by omitting from sub-section (2) "Column 2 of Schedule 23" and
substituting "the Column of Schedule 23 that relates to that year";
(d) by omitting from sub-section (3) "the year 1985" and substituting "a year
to which this Act applies";
(e) by omitting from sub-section (4) "the year 1985" and substituting "a year
to which this Act applies,";

   (f)  by omitting from sub-paragraph (4) (b) (ii) "1986" and substituting

"next following the end of that year"; and

   (g)  by adding at the end the following sub-section:

"(5) In this section, 'year to which this Act applies' means either of the
years 1985 and 1986.".
