SOCIAL SERVICES LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1982 No. 37, 1982 - SECT 13

13. Section 94 of the Principal Act is amended-

         (a)  by omitting from sub-section (1) the definition of ''child'' and
substituting the following definition:

'' 'child' means a person under the age of 16 years;'';

         (b)  by omitting ''an endowment'' from the definition of ''claimant''
in sub-section (1) and substituting ''a family allowance'';

         (c)  by omitting from sub-section (1) the definitions of ''endowee''
and ''endowment'' and substituting the following definition:

'' 'family allowance' means a family allowance under this Part, and includes a
share in such an allowance payable by virtue of a direction in force under
section 99A;'';

   (d)  by inserting in sub-section (2A) ''or is an inmate of an
institution'' after ''another person''; and

   (e)  by inserting in sub-section (2A) ''or a child who is an inmate
of that institution, as the case may be'' after ''that other person''.
