SOCIAL SECURITY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1993 No. 36, 1993 - SECT 51

51. Section 833 of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by omitting from subsection (1) "dependent child" and substituting

"person";

   (b)  by omitting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection:

"(2) A person who has turned 16 and is undertaking secondary studies may be an
FP child until:

   (a)  the end of the calendar year in which the person turns 18; or

   (b)  the person ceases secondary studies; whichever happens first.".
