TRADE PRACTICES REVISION ACT 1986 No. 17 of 1986 - SECT 64

64. (1) Section 101 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after
sub-section (1) the following sub-section:

"(1A) Where a person has, whether before or after the commencement of this
sub-section, made an application under sub-section (1) for a review of a
determination, the Tribunal may, if the Tribunal determines it to be
appropriate, make a determination by consent of the applicant, the Commission,
and all persons who have been permitted under sub-section 109 (2) to intervene
in the proceedings for review, whether or not the Tribunal is satisfied of the
matters referred to in sub-section 90 (6), (7), (8) or (9).".

(2) Section 101 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by inserting in sub-section (1) "or under sub-section (1B), as the
        case
may be" after " regulations"; and

   (b)  by inserting before sub-section (2) the following sub-section:

"(1B) A presidential member may, on the application of a person concerned in
an application for an authorisation under sub-section 88 (9), shorten the time
allowed by or under the regulations within which an application under
sub-section (1) may be made for a review of the determination by the
Commission of the application for the authorisation if the member is satisfied
that special circumstances exist and that in all the circumstances it would
not be unfair to do so.".
