1990 No. 443 AUSTUDY REGULATIONS - REG 46

Progress: (g) honours year and Master's qualifying course 1
46. (1) "Honours year" means a year of an undergraduate course at honours
level in addition to the years needed to complete the course at pass level.

(2) A student can get AUSTUDY for a second honours year only if he or she got
at least upper second class honours for the previous honours year.

(3) A student can get AUSTUDY for a year of a Master's qualifying course only
if:

   (a)  the year corresponds to an honours year; and

   (b)  the student has not undertaken more than half a full-time year's work
        for:

        (i)    an honours year; or

   (ii) a Master's qualifying course that corresponds to an honours year. Note
        to regulation 46 1 Progress rules are applied as at the start of the
        academic year: see regulation 37.
