1981 No. 244 CUSTOMS (ENDANGERED SPECIES) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 6

6. Regulation 13 of the Customs (Endangered Species) Regulations is amended-

   (a)  by omitting sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following
        sub-regulation:



"(1) Where the consent or permission in writing of the Minister is required
under a provision of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations other than
sub-regulation 4 (1) (in so far as it relates to goods specified in item 14 in
the Second Schedule) for the importation of a specimen of a species included
in Appendix I or Appendix II, and import permit granted by the Minister under
these Regulations for the importation into Australia of that specimen or a
certificate that, in relation to that specimen, is a relevant certificate for
the purposes of sub-regulation 4 (1) of these Regulations shall, for the
purposes of that provision of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations, be
deemed to be the consent or permission in writing of the Minister to import
the specimen."; and

   (b)  by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "other than regulation 6".
