The form of introductory words used to make Statutory Rules 1986 No. 184
was as follows:
`WHEREAS it is desirable to declare the European Economic Community to be an
overseas organization to which the International Organizations (Privileges
and Immunities) Act 1963 applies so that, where a person attends an
international conference (within the meaning of that Act) convened by an
international organization to which that Act applies as a representative of the
European Economic Community, that person may have such privileges and
immunities as are conferred by that Act or the Regulations under that Act on a
person who is in attendance at, or has attended, an international conference
convened by that international organization as a representative of an overseas
organization to which that Act applies:
NOW THEREFORE I, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting
with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following
Regulations under the International Organizations (Privileges and
Immunities) Act 1963.'
