FISHING LEVY REGULATIONS 1997 No. 312 - REG 6.2

6.2 (1) For section 6 of the Levy Act, the amount of levy for a JMF fishing
permit in force in the period from 1 March 1998 to 28 February 1999
(inclusive) is $1,000. [NOTE: The research component of the levy amount is
$60.]

(2) Subregulation (1) does not apply to a JMF fishing permit (the

"second permit") if:

   (a)  the second permit is granted to a person who, at the time of the
        grant, is the holder of a first permit; and

   (b)  the first and second permits apply to the same boat.

(3) It is not material that the first and second permits authorise fishing:

   (a)  by the same fishing method, or by different methods; or

   (b)  in the same area, or in different areas.
