NATIONAL MEASUREMENT REGULATIONS 1999 1999 No. 110 1999 - REG 5
Australian legal units of measurement (Act, s 7A (1))
The Australian legal unit of measurement for a physical quantity mentioned in
an item in Schedule 1 is the unit of measurement the name, symbol and
definition of which are mentioned in the item.
Note
The Commission may issue written guidelines governing the way in which
these units of measurement may be combined to produce Australian legal units
of measurement — see Act, s 7B (1) (a).
