NATIONAL MEASUREMENT REGULATIONS 1999 1999 No. 110 1999 - REG 72
Application for appointment of verifying or certifying authority
- (1)
- An application for appointment as a verifying or certifying authority must
be:
- (a)
- made in the form provided by the Commission to applicants; and
- (b)
- be given to the Commission.
- (2)
- The Commission may vary the appointment on written application by the
authority to which the appointment relates.
- (3)
- If the Commission decides not to approve an application, or to vary an
approval in a way not sought by the applicant, the Commission must give
written notice of the reasons for its decision to the applicant as soon as
practicable.
- (4)
- If the Commission has not granted an application or given notice to the
applicant under subregulation (3) within 3 months after receiving the
application, the Commission must, at the request of the applicant, give
written notice to the applicant of the reasons for the delay.
