CASINO CONTROL ACT 1992 - SECT 43
Definitions
43 Definitions
(1) In this Part--
"certificate of competency" means a certificate of competency issued under
section 64.
"licence" means a licence in force under this Part.
"special employee" means a person who-- (a) is employed or working in a casino
in a managerial capacity or who is authorised to make decisions, involving the
exercise of his or her discretion, that regulate operations in a casino, or
(b) is employed or working in a casino in any capacity relating to any of the
following activities-- • the conduct of gaming,
• the movement of
money or chips about the casino,
• the exchange of money or chips to
patrons in the casino,
• the counting of money or chips in the casino,
• the operation, maintenance, construction or repair of gaming equipment
approved by the NICC under section 68,
• the supervision of any of the
above activities,
• casino security,
• any other activity relating
to operations in the casino that is prescribed for the purposes of this
definition.
(2) The regulations may exempt persons employed or working in a
casino in any specified capacity from being special employees.
