CHURCHES OF CHRIST IN NEW SOUTH WALES INCORPORATION ACT 1947 - NOTES

WHEREAS by the Churches of Christ Property Management Act 1906 provision was made amongst other things for the appointment of trustees to hold property on behalf of individual churches known as Churches of Christ and whereas it is expedient to make provision for the more satisfactory control of property held by or on behalf of Churches of Christ in New South Wales by the incorporation of the Churches of Christ Property Trust to hold property on behalf of the association of churches known as Churches of Christ in New South Wales:

Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Churches of Christ in New South Wales Incorporation Act 1947 No 2. Assented to 21.3.1947. Date of commencement, 1.5.1947, sec 1 (2). This Act has been amended as follows:

1965 No 33 Decimal Currency Act 1965. Assented to 20.12.1965.
Date of commencement of sec 4, 14.2.1966, secs 1 (3), 2 (1) and the Currency Act 1965 (Commonwealth), sec 2 (2).
1982 No 100 Churches of Christ in New South Wales Incorporation (Amendment) Act 1982. Assented to 5.10.1982.
1999 No 31 Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1999. Assented to 7.7.1999.
Date of commencement of Sch 5, assent, sec 2 (1).
This Act has also been amended pursuant to an order under secs 8 (2) and 9 (3) of the Reprints Act 1972 No 48 (formerly Acts Reprinting Act 1972). Assented to 9.10.1972. Order dated 8.10.1979, and published in GG No 140 of 12.10.1979, p 5160, declaring that the Churches of Christ in New South Wales Incorporation Act 1947 is an enactment to which sec 8 (2) and sec 9 (3) of the Acts Reprinting Act 1972 apply.
