97 Review of certain provisions relating to restrained property and
drug trafficker declarations
(1) The Minister must conduct a review of the reviewable provisions to
determine whether-- (a) the policy objectives of the reviewable provisions
remain valid, and
(b) the terms of the reviewable provisions remain
appropriate for securing the objectives.
(2) The review must be commenced as
soon as practicable after 1 February 2025.
(3) A report on the outcome of the
review must be tabled in each House of Parliament by 1 February 2026.
(4) In
this section--
"reviewable provisions" means-- (a) Part 2, Divisions 1A and 6, and
(b)
sections 36, 37, 43A, 66, 67A- 67C and 71A- 71C.
