"audio visual link" has the same meaning as in the
Evidence (Audio and Audio Visual Links) Act 1998 .
"child" means an individual who is less than 18 years of age.
"Court" means the District Court.
"pre-recorded evidence hearing" --see section 294G(1)(a).
"recording" means--
(a) an audio recording, or
(b) a video and audio recording.
(a) a child who is a complainant or prosecution witness in the proceedings, or
(b) a person who--(i) is a complainant or prosecution witness in the proceedings, and(ii) was a child when the accused person was committed for trial or sentence, even if the person has since become an adult.
