79 Who is an honorary medical officer?

An
"honorary medical officer" is a medical practitioner appointed under an honorary contract (whether the practitioner or his or her practice company is a party to the contract) to provide services as a visiting practitioner for or on behalf of the public health organisation concerned.

Note : Section 84 defines
"honorary contract" to mean a service contract under which the services of a medical practitioner are provided to or on behalf of a public health organisation otherwise than for monetary remuneration.
