Investigative powers exercisable after completion of Commission's investigations for purposes of prosecutions
52A Investigative powers exercisable after completion of Commission's
investigations for purposes of prosecutions
(1) This section applies to the function of the Commission under section 14 of
gathering and assembling evidence that may be admissible in the prosecution of
a person for a criminal offence and of furnishing that evidence to the
Director of Public Prosecutions or to the Electoral Commission.
(2) The
powers under sections 21, 22, 23 and 40 may be exercised for the purposes of
that function after the completion of the Commission's investigations into a
matter if the Director of Public Prosecutions or the Electoral Commission
requests the Commission to do so.
