LAW ENFORCEMENT CONDUCT COMMISSION ACT 2016 - SECT 78
Appearance of inmate at examination
(1) If the examining Commissioner requires an inmate of a correctional centre
to appear before the examining Commissioner at an examination, the
examining Commissioner may, by order in writing served on the general manager
of the correctional centre, direct the general manager to produce the inmate,
or have the inmate produced, at the time and place stated in the order.
(2)
Such an order is sufficient authority to the general manager of the
correctional centre for producing the inmate or having the inmate produced,
and the inmate must be produced accordingly.
(3) An inmate is, when produced
under this section in the actual custody of the general manager of the
correctional centre, a correctional officer or a police officer, taken to be
in lawful custody.
(4) The general manager, correctional officer or
police officer must in due course return the inmate to the
correctional centre.
(5) In this section,
"correctional officer" ,
"general manager" of a correctional centre and
"inmate" have the same meanings as in the Crimes (Administration of
Sentences) Act 1999 .
