(1) In this Part--
"landholder" , in relation to land, includes any person having the care, control or management of the land.
"specified measures" include measures that involve doing, or refraining from doing, any act.
(2) In this Part--(a) a power to direct a person to take specified measures includes a power to direct in what circumstances, in what order and in what manner those measures are to be taken, and(b) a reference to a water management work of any kind includes a reference to a corresponding kind of work to which Part 2, 5 or 8 of the Water Act 1912 extends, and(b1) a reference to an approval or an access licence includes a reference to an entitlement (within the meaning of clause 2 of Schedule 10) that confers a corresponding authority, and(c) a reference to this Act or the regulations extends to the Water Act 1912 and the regulations under that Act.
(3) For the purpose of applying this Part to the Water Act 1912 and the regulations under that Act, references to this Act in section 390 of this Act, and in the definition of
"authorised officer" in the Dictionary to this Act, extend to the Water Act 1912 and the regulations under that Act.
