Special conditions relating to shooting ranges

94 Special conditions relating to shooting ranges

(1) The approval of a shooting range is subject to the following conditions--
(a) the person on whose behalf the approval is granted (the
"approval holder" ) must ensure that any person using a firearm on the shooting range is authorised to do so by a licence or permit held by the person (unless the person's use of the firearm is exempt under section 6B of the Act from the requirement to be authorised by a licence or permit),
(b) the approval holder must--
(i) ensure that any person using the shooting range under the authority of clause 28A (Licences and permits extend to authorise sighting in, patterning and related activities) is supervised while doing so by a person appointed by the approval holder, with supervision of the person to be as required by clause 156, and
(ii) ensure that the name and licence number of the person using the shooting range under the authority of clause 28A is recorded, and
(iii) make any such records available for inspection by a police officer,
(c) the person having control for the time being of the shooting range must, if any incident involving a firearm on the range results in an injury to a person, notify the Commissioner of the details of the incident within 48 hours.
(2) This clause does not limit the conditions to which the approval of a shooting range may be subject.
