PROPERTY AND STOCK AGENTS REGULATION 2014 - REG 3

Definitions

3 Definitions

(1) In this Regulation--

"affiliate" , in relation to an entity (
"the entity" ), means--
(a) another entity that is controlled (within the meaning of section 50AA of the Corporations Act) by the entity, or
(b) if the entity is a body corporate--an entity that is a related entity of the entity.

"buyer's agent" means a real estate agent whose licence is subject to a condition that restricts the holder to acting as a real estate agent for a prospective purchaser of land.

"commercial property agency work" means selling, purchasing, exchanging, leasing, managing or otherwise dealing with property that is not residential property or rural land.

"entity" and
"related entity" have the same meanings as in section 9 of the Corporations Act.

"fee unit" --see Part 2 of Schedule 16.

"residential tenancy agreement" has the same meaning as in the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 .

"the Act" means the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 .

"trust money" has the same meaning as in Part 7 of the Act.
Note : The Act and the Interpretation Act 1987 contain definitions and other provisions that affect the interpretation and application of this Regulation.
(2) Notes included in this Regulation do not form part of this Regulation.
