ROAD TRANSPORT (DRIVER LICENSING) REGULATION 2017 - REG 5

5 Licence classes and class codes

(cf 2008 Reg cl 5)

(1) For the purposes of this Regulation, the classes of driver licence are as follows--

(a) motorcycle licence,

(b) car licence,

(c) light rigid vehicle licence,

(d) medium rigid vehicle licence,

(e) heavy rigid vehicle licence,

(f) heavy combination vehicle licence,

(g) multi-combination vehicle licence.

(2) A licence class may be shown on a driver licence by means of a symbol or by the code (the
"licence code" ) shown opposite the relevant licence class in the following table.

(3) A licence class may be described by reference to its licence code.
