His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following By-law under the Sydney Cricket
and Sports Ground Act 1978.

The object of this By-law is to repeal and remake, with minor changes only, the provisions of the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground
(Elections) By-law 1994 under the Sydney Cricket and
Sports Ground Act 1978.
The new By-law deals with the election of 2 members of the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust (from among the members of the Sydney Cricket Ground) and provides for the following matters:
(a) the appointment of a Returning Officer for such an election,
(b) the notification of polling days and invitations for nominations,
(c) the making of nominations, candidate information sheets and the taking of a poll,
(d) the procedure for the ballot and the counting of votes.In particular, the new By-law:
(a) simplifies the procedure for extending the time for close of nominations for elected members of the Trust, and
(b) clarifies the procedure relating to the exercise of voting rights of corporate members that hold more than 1 corporate membership.This By-law is made under the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Act 1978, including sections 6 (2) and 29 (the general by-law making power).
