Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), every person, on taking and subscribing the oath as provided in section 26, shall be deemed to have thereby entered into a written agreement with, and shall be thereby bound to serve the Crown as a member of the Police Force or in any other capacity if so instructed in accordance with this Act or the regulations, at the current rate of pay, until lawfully discharged.
(2) No agreement of the type referred to in subsection (1) shall be set aside for want of reciprocity.
(3) An agreement of the type referred to in subsection (1) may be cancelled at any time by the lawful discharge, dismissal or removal from office of any such person, or by the resignation of any such person being accepted by the Administrator or the Commissioner, as the case may be.
