Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated ActsThe superintendent of a detention centre or a member of the staff of the centre who arrests a detainee under section 167(1) must, as soon as practicable, take the detainee (or arrange for the detainee to be taken) to:
(a) the detention centre; or
(b) another appropriate place.
Examples for section 167A(b)
1 A police station (if it is not practicable to immediately return the detainee to the detention centre).
2 A health care facility (if the detainee is sick or injured).
