Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) If a detainee transfers from the Territory to a State, the order under which he or she was detained ceases to have effect in the Territory except in relation to the period of detention served in the Territory.
(2) If an interstate detainee transfers from a State to the Territory, the order under which he or she is detained is taken to have been made by a Territory court.
