Northern Territory Numbered Acts Northern Territory Numbered Acts(1) The Minister may cause any Government school to be visited by a medical practitioner, dentist or nurse for the purpose of:
(a) the medical or dental examination of the students in attendance at the school; or
(b) advising the principal on any matter relating to the health or welfare of the students enrolled in the school.
(2) In this section:
"dentist" means a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law:
(a) to practise in the dental profession as a dentist (other than as a student); and
(b) in the dentists division of that profession.
"nurse" means a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise in the nursing and midwifery profession as a nurse (other than as a student).
