ANIMAL CARE AND PROTECTION ACT 2001 - SECT 212
Delegations
212 Delegations
(1) The Minister may delegate the Minister’s powers under this Act to the
chief executive or an appropriately qualified officer of the department.
(2)
The chief executive may delegate the chief executive’s powers under this Act
to an appropriately qualified person as follows— (a) an authorised officer
or inspector;
(b) a public service officer or public service employee;
(c) a
local government officer or employee;
(d) a prescribed entity.
(3) In this
section—
"appropriately qualified" includes having the qualifications, experience or
standing appropriate to the exercise of the power. Example of standing— a
person’s classification level in the public service
