Testing for pregnancy in cattle
27B Testing for pregnancy in cattle
(1) A person, other than a veterinary surgeon or an accredited person, must
not use rectal palpation or transrectal ultrasound to test for pregnancy in
cattle unless the person performs the test without fee or reward.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—300 penalty units or 1 year’s
imprisonment.
(2) In this section—
"accredited person" means a person accredited to use rectal palpation or
transrectal ultrasound to test for pregnancy in cattle under an approved
cattle procedures accreditation scheme.
