ABORIGINAL LAND ACT 1991 - SECT 32ZI

32ZI Cancellation of deeds of grant in trust, reserves etc.

(1) This section applies if—

(a) available land is subject to any of the following (each an
"old tenure" ) when the trustee for the land applies for the land to be granted in fee simple under section 32C —

(i) a deed of grant in trust;

(ii) a reserve dedicated under the Land Act ;

(iii) a townsite lease;

(iv) an interest mentioned in section 32B , definition interest holder ; and

(b) a deed of grant in fee simple (a
"new tenure" ) for the available land is registered.

(2) The old tenure is cancelled to the extent of the new tenure.
