Identification devices under Act
12 Identification devices under Act
(1) A
"prescribed permanent identification device" or
"PPID" is a microchip or other electronic device that— (a) is capable of
being permanently implanted in a cat or dog; and
(b) is designed to record
information in a way that can be electronically retrieved; and
(c) complies
with the requirements prescribed by regulation for the device.
(2) A
"registration device" is a device, to help identify a dog, decided by a
resolution of the relevant local government for the dog. Example of a
registration device— a tag for the collar of a dog
