Code of conduct for casino operators
126A Code of conduct for casino operators
(1) A regulation may contain a code of conduct for casino operators.
(2) The
code may impose obligations on casino operators and their employees and
agents, and provide for any matter, for the purpose of ensuring— (a) safer
gambling in casinos; and
(b) the appropriate conduct of casino operations;
and
(c) the implementation of appropriate practices, systems and procedures
relating to the governance, accountability and integrity of casino operators.
(3) The code may provide for a maximum penalty, for a contravention of the
code, of 200 penalty units for a casino operator and 20 penalty units for
other persons.
(4) An entity making a decision under this Act about the
suitability of a person to whom the code applies may have regard to the
person’s compliance with the code.
