CHILD PROTECTION ACT 1999 - SECT 245M
Triggering event for review
(1) The
"triggering event" for an internal agency review is— (a) for a review by the
chief executive under section 245E —the chief executive becoming aware of
the child’s death or serious physical injury; or
(b) for a review by the
chief executive under section 245F —the chief executive receiving the
Minister’s written request; or
(c) for a review by the head of a relevant
agency other than the department under section 245H —the agency head
determining under that section that a review is required; or
(d) for a review
by the head of a relevant agency other than the department under section 245I
—the agency head receiving the agency’s Minister’s written request.
(2)
The
"triggering event" for a review by the litigation director is— (a) for a
review under section 245J (b) (i) or (ii) —the director receiving notice
from the chief executive under section 245G (2) (b) ; or
(b) for a review
under section 245J (b) (iii) —the director receiving the chief executive’s
written request.
