(1) A dual commissioner, as agreed from time to time by the president and the president of the Australian commission—(a) must perform the functions of a deputy president or an industrial commissioner; and(b) has, and may exercise for a particular matter, the powers of—(i) a deputy president or an industrial commissioner; and(ii) a member of the Australian commission.
(2) A provision of this Act prescribing the functions or powers of a deputy president or an industrial commissioner is subject to subsection (1) in its application to a dual commissioner.
