JUSTICES OF THE PEACE AND COMMISSIONERS FOR DECLARATIONS ACT 1991 - SECT 23
Resignation
23 Resignation
(1) A person who is an appointed justice of the peace or an appointed
commissioner for declarations may resign from office at any time by giving a
written resignation to the registrar.
(2) On receiving the person’s written
resignation, the registrar must— (a) publish notice of the resignation on
the Queensland Government website; and
(b) remove the person’s registered
particulars from the register.
(3) The person ceases to hold office as a
justice of the peace or commissioner for declarations when the person’s
written resignation is given to the registrar.
