JUSTICES OF THE PEACE AND COMMISSIONERS FOR DECLARATIONS ACT 1991 - SECT 24
Revocation of appointment
(1) The Governor in Council may, by notice given to the registrar, revoke the
appointment of a person as an appointed justice of the peace or an appointed
commissioner for declarations. Note— See part 3A (Suspension and revocation
of appointments).
(2) On receiving a notice under subsection (1) in
relation to a person, the registrar must— (a) give the person a copy of the
notice; and
(b) publish the notice on the Queensland Government website; and
(c) remove the person’s registered particulars from the register.
(3) The
person ceases to hold office as a justice of the peace or commissioner for
declarations when the notice is published on the Queensland Government
website.
