Appeals from tribunal only to Court of Appeal on a question of law
236 Appeals from tribunal only to Court of Appeal on a question of law
(1) This section applies to a decision of the tribunal (the
"tribunal decision" ) in a proceeding for a review of a decision mentioned in
sections 228 to 233 .
(2) The QCAT Act , chapter 2 , part 8 , division 1 does
not apply to the tribunal decision.
(3) A party to the proceeding may appeal
to the Court of Appeal against the tribunal decision but only if the appeal is
on a question of law.
(4) To remove any doubt, it is declared that the QCAT
Act , section 149 does not apply to the tribunal decision. Note— See the
QCAT Act , sections 151 to 153 , 155 and 156 for other requirements and
effects of an appeal to the Court of Appeal.
