150D Minister to make code of conduct

(1) The Minister must make a code of conduct that sets out the standards of behaviour for councillors in performing their functions as councillors under this Act or the City of Brisbane Act 2010 .

Notes—

1 See section 4 which requires the Minister, in making a code of conduct under this section, to do so in a way that is consistent with, and provides results that are consistent with, the local government principles. See also section 150CAA in relation to the application of the local government principles.

2 Also, see the obligations imposed on councillors under chapter 6 , part 2 , division 5 or the City of Brisbane Act 2010 , chapter 6 , part 2 , division 5 which apply to councillors in performing their functions as councillors under this Act or the City of Brisbane Act 2010 .

(2) The code of conduct may also contain anything the Minister considers necessary for, or incidental to, the standards of behaviour.
